the ocean is the cure

today started out dubious at best.
I fell asleep last night on the couch with an unfinished speech in front of me on the laptop while Chris watched Brazil which he had just bought. I woke up this morning realising I hadn’t finished the speech which I was intending to do and didn’t have my slides sorted either for this presentation. I went to the lecture late, I had planned to cycle since it was nice out, but had to drive, with the plan I’d come home, finish the speech and do the slides before cycling back to school to present.

I arrived in the lecture to only have some fucker sit in front of me and to keep wobbling the unstable desk which i was writing on. So i left the lecture in a hurry and came home, finished the speech and with the help of my delightful sibling, go hold of news footage relating to my speech to show to the class.

SO I cycled back as planned, only to find the computers in the lecture theater had gone belly up. No technicians in sight, cause they never are when there is a problem. But I did hunt down the head of school who helped me out.

So i sat down in class, 4th in line, only to find that 3rd in line was covering the same topic as me. *sigh* I think I did a better job and I had video and slides… woo go me.

So I hung out in domestic for a short while, but first I had to open the envelope sitting in my bag that I had grabbed off the postie as she and I crossed paths on my way out. No return address on the back, but the handwriting was familiar.
Inside was the last Betchadupa album, as soon as I pulled it out, I knew who it was from *kisses Lisa*

So yeah that was a lift to my day. I still haven’t eaten lunch. I feel like ranting about some other shit right now, but I actually believe there are somethings that just shouldn’t be aired in online journals. (perhaps I might change my mind later)
