1997, New Brighton Beach, just before Skate Jam in Thompson Park. In the days before the trees in the park were all cut down. I’m going to assume Bunyip played that afternoon, and that’s why we went to Brighton. I remember it was stinking hot. I had purple tinted sunglasses.
The pictures from that afternoon always make me smile because I know I still enjoy their company as much now as I did then.
I still have that toweling hat that I’m wearing in this picture.
This morning, well what’s left of it, will be spent baking a series of cakes for Anton’s birthday. It looks like today is going to be very hot.
