So much is stuck in my head right now.

August 7th, 2010

So things have gone from bad to possibly worse in my family situation back in NZ. I can’t decide if what has happened is better or not.
It is weighing on my mind to the point I struggle to think about much else.

In other news though, I went to Brighton today. Photos will follow. I also went to a party in Hampstead Heath(ish) area. Met some amazingly interesting people. I know I have met plenty of ‘famous’ folk before in my life. Hell, I grew up in the world of television. Nobody has ever really awestruck me. Friday night changed that though. This person is kind of like a hero in that I admire everything he’s ever done. Well almost everything.

Its nice to know he was normal and down to earth, and that it was an honour to be in his house.

Brain ramblings

August 5th, 2010

I keep thinking its half a blessing and a curse that I don’t have a fancy ass cellphone, from which I could blog on while on the move.

The curse is that I come up with some truly gold observations on life, and rants in my head which if I shared with the world would make me a much more interesting person outwardly.

The blessing is that you probably miss out on excessive ranting about shit like riding the last tube (a yet unfinished post I started a month ago).

Instead what you do get is the tail end laziness of what I can be bothered to write, all stream of consciousness garbage.

I apologise to all who do read this in that you have to put up with half arsed bollocks.

Yup wasted days

August 3rd, 2010

Still haven’t done all the things I was supposed to.

I didn’t add more tracks to my iPod, or upload travel photos for my folks.

I did however watch a BBC doco and 2 episodes of season 23 of Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Spent ages looking at plane and train tickets to Austria. Only to figure out that all these days wasted trying to figure out how to get to Salzburg, and I really want to be going more towards Vienna.
Geography fail.

Also Ryan Air’s website might cause epileptic fits, goddamn its hideous to look at.

Last weekend in July.

I thought I took a whole lot of pictures of the Latin American Carnival I went to, but they were on a disposable camera. Not the digital one, which only seems to have pictures of the bus journey from Trafalgar Square to Elephant and Castle.

Yes.

That is a real place name.

See the road markings? One of them says Elephant & Castle.

Bang Bang Eche came to London. They played a show.

I bought these for James…

They are a good way to get home and not fall asleep on the last tube.

Good Morning 28

July 24th, 2010

Yesterday I partook in a great deal of celebratory birthday activity.

Some of my friends are awesome.
Meg is amazing. She really is, I got a birthday (cup) cake and she’s lending me a reasonable amount of crockery so I can have stuff while I’m here.

Marie and Simon bought me earrings which are really cute. I love the little bow ones and button ones. So adorable. Hahah. I sound so girly.

Anyway, busy day ahead today. Going to see a play called Ghost Stories on the West End tonight.

The last Monday of 27

July 19th, 2010

Today I received a package from my mum. A nice wee something for my birthday I guess.

My hand is half asleep. Really the rest of me should be too.
I don’t know quite why I’m bothering with an update, outside of the fact I just finished watching the new episode of Outrageous Fortune. Gosh that series really is quite good.

I think I’m going to try and make a mix tape at some point. I’ve been building playlists in Spotify, I just now need to turn those into something.

London has been pretty hot. Today was another near 30 degree day. Its going to turn a bit for the end of the week though. Not so cool. I guess its good I organised drinks in a pub near Oxford Circus.

I am working on a plan for a couple of craft projects. I will post them here soon.

One thing I need to do is post my new dress making one, inspired by the dress a day blog.

Oh and I’ll put up a picture of the Dan Hiller I am now the owner of. God I love investing in art, even when I have no money for it!

Hey, welcome back to the Fran show.

So I finally have Internet sorted in my flat. My flat is amazing. its a warehouse in North London… This might mean I have to become an Arsenal or Tottenham fan. I live with 11 people. My room has a mezzanine floor!

I am having a great/awful time in London. Various reasons for all of this. The good is the people I’ve met, the place I’m currently staying, the cool galleries, and basically just walking around is awesome.
The bad is the expensive price of breathing in this city, the sweaty tube rides, the job, the horrible demise of my parents marriage from so far away but still getting to see the whole thing played out, the people I miss back home, not having people who will come and do all the things I want… oh and I think my health is going a bit downhill at the moment.

Lets brighten this up with some photos of the new place huh?

Ok so not that exciting, but it is my room. But not the Mezzanine. I can’t find the photo I took of that in the daylight.

Remember that weekend I went to Memphis?
